Buyers can rate sellers based on factors such as service, communication, delivery and product quality.
Sellers can rate buyers based on factors such as prompt payment and accurate shipping information.
You can only rate a user you have completed a transaction with on Bob Shop. Ratings can be submitted from My Account.
The number displayed next to a user's Bob Shop name shows the total number of ratings they have received, including positive, neutral and negative ratings.
The percentage displayed next to the user's name is their rating score. This is calculated using the positive and negative ratings received during the past 12 months. Neutral ratings are not included in the calculation.
If a user has not received any ratings during the past 12 months, all their ratings are used to calculate their score.
The number of ratings a user has received is also represented by a star icon next to their username. The star level increases as the user receives more ratings.
The rating count includes all ratings, regardless of whether they are positive, neutral or negative.
Before buying from or selling to another user, you can view their previous feedback by clicking on their Bob Shop username.
When reviewing feedback, pay particular attention to comments and any responses from the user to neutral or negative ratings.
To keep the rating system fair and useful:
Buyers can only rate sellers they have bought from.
Sellers can only rate buyers who have bought from them.
Users should treat each other respectfully and provide fair and honest ratings.
You may not use a friend's account or create secondary accounts to increase your own rating or negatively affect another user's rating.
Threatening, abusive, discriminatory, racially vilifying or profane language is not permitted.
Ratings and feedback must relate to the user's interaction or transaction on Bob Shop.
Feedback may not contain links to other pages, images or unrelated information.
Ratings and feedback cannot normally be edited after they have been submitted, so review your comments carefully before submitting them.
Bob Shop reserves the right to remove ratings or feedback that breach these rules or where required by law.
You may not be able to rate another user or edit a rating after three months from the date of the transaction.
If a seller has filed a Sale Not Complete (SNC) against a buyer, the buyer may not be able to rate that seller. If the buyer appeals the SNC, Bob Shop will assess the situation and the outcome may affect the buyer's ability to rate the seller.
If you believe you have received an unfair rating or have evidence that someone has abused the rating system, contact hello@bobshop.co.za.
Bob Shop will investigate the matter. Investigations may take several weeks.
Bob Shop may remove feedback in exceptional circumstances, including where it contains unrelated links or images, adult material, profane, abusive, discriminatory or threatening language, or where removal is required by law.
Bob Shop also reserves the right to suspend an account where a user's rating falls below the applicable rating threshold.
