How to whitelist emails from Bob Shop

Transactional emails sent by Bob Shop are crucial for the functioning of the Bob Shop trading platform. They call on users to take an action: place a higher bid, conclude a purchase, answer a question, finalise a sale, and so on.

To ensure that these emails reach your inbox, you may need to whitelist them. This is a quick, once-off task. All you need to do is add the sender to your email client’s address book or safe senders list. For transactional emails, the sender is bobshop-noreply@bobshop.co.za; for customer support, support@bobshop.co.za; for newsletters, campaign@bobshop.co.za; and so on. If your email client gives you the choice, add the sender’s domain, @bobshop.co.za, to the safe list. This will ensure that our messages are more likely to reach your inbox.

The specific whitelisting steps vary from email client to email client. Here is how to whitelist emails sent from Bob Shop in some of the most frequently used email clients:
  1. Android:
In the default email client, touch the image/icon of the sender and tap OK to add to contacts.
  2. Apple iPhone/iPad
Tap the sender's name in the from line. On the next screen, tap create new contact. Tap done.
  3. Apple Mail
Right-click on the sender's email address and select add to contacts or add to VIPs.
  4. Gmail
Hover over the sender's name; a window will pop up (click more if given the option.) Select add to contacts to save the sender to your contacts list.
  5. Yahoo! Mail
  6. Right-click the email. Select add sender to contacts. Click save.
  7. Outlook.com (formerly Hotmail)
Open the email. Click the add to contacts link.
  8. Microsoft Outlook
Right-click on the message in your inbox. Hover over junk email and click never block sender.
  9. Thunderbird
Add the sender to your address book, making sure that personal address book is highlighted.
