When creating your listing, you may get an error message as a result of having more than 8 000 characters in the HTML of the Describe your item box. Descriptions on Bob Shop are capped at 8 000 characters, so if you're struggling it's worth checking that unnecessary HTML characters aren't taking up your valuable description limit. To see the HTML in your description, click on the Code view ( </> ) button . Excess code in the HTML is often caused by copying and pasting from another source into the Describe your item area.
If you are struggling with description length limits, we recommend that you copy your description text from a source like Notepad or an HTML editor.
